27th-Jun-2008 11:35 pm - Dear Challenges:
pirates, global warming
I will overcome you.

You may be absolutely grimy and covered in cobwebs. You may be infested with black widows which scurry out to poison me. You may be the tallest, heaviest piece of lumber known to mankind, and you may just fall on my foot and bruise me and hurt me. Through it all, you may topple onto me and knock me down and hurt more than I think I can stand. But in the end, I'll pull myself up again, dust off the cobwebs, wipe at the grime smeared on my face and grind the spiders under my shoes, and there will be light, pure light.
